  1. Instructional Faculty - Baccalaureate Nursing (Professional /Admin /Faculty)

A faculty member in the baccalaureate program at SCF, Manatee-Sarasota teaches undergraduate upper division level courses within the assigned baccalaureate program.


Minimum Qualifications

•Education/Experience:
Doctorate in discipline (strongly preferred) or doctoral candidate expecting to complete the degree within one year, or Master’s Degree in discipline. Recent teaching experience, preferably in post-secondary program.

•Certificates and Licenses:
Current Florida RN license.


Preferred Qualifications

•Doctorate in discipline (strongly preferred).
•Prior experience teaching within a RN to BSN program and with the online format of courses.
•Interest and experience in developing nursing curricula.



  1. Laboratory Instructor – Ceramics –

This position prepares material for open instructional laboratories according to established procedures. Assists students and instructional staff under the direct guidance of faculty and area administrator. Supervises student workers in ceramic and sculpture studio.

Minimum Qualifications

•Education/Experience:
Associate’s Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and four years’ experience in related field; or Bachelor’s degree from four year college or university and one year experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience tutoring and/or teaching college students is preferred.

•Supervisory Experience:
One or more years of experience as a “lead” employee, with responsibility for scheduling and assigning work, training new employees, and assisting others with problems.

  1. Web Programmer/Analyst –

The Web Programmer/Analyst provides essential support to Information Technology Services’ mission and customers by analyzing, designing, implementing and supporting internally developed, commercial, and open source applications and infrastructure. This is a professional level role that under general supervision, works closely with customers, business analysts and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design to develop quality technical solutions. This position is responsible for the planning, development and maintenance of the College Web site(s) and related services while ensuring high standards of performance and user accessibility to the site. Responsible for website programming, usability analysis, testing deployment, administration and prioritizing and developing content that is integrated with College goals and ongoing operations. Must possess a solid understanding of W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).


Minimum Qualifications –

•Education/Experience:
Baccalaureate degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited institution and five (5) years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.

•Supervisory Experience:
One to two years of supervisory experience, with responsibility for scheduling and assigning work, training new employees, and assisting others with problems, is required. Experience serving as a technical lead or project leader.

•At least two years of experience in SharePoint Online technical support and administration including site collection creation.

•Work-place experience with Microsoft applications (e.g. Office365, SharePoint Online), Ellucian Banner, Argos, Luminis Portal, Dynamic Forms, CMS website controls.

•Working knowledge of database table structure and entity relationships.

•Strong experience using RDBMS (e.g. MySQL, Oracle) and a Version Control System (e.g. SVN,)

Preferred Qualifications

•Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of the Office365 suite of products. Must become efficient with current college database software and other college required software within one month of hire.

•Strong knowledge of multiple languages and software used for Web development such as ASP, PHP, ColdFusion, Java/Groovy, SQL, C#, VB.NET including Windows Services, JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, XML, HTML, Photoshop, and WordPress or similar blog software; LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP).

•Have the ability to optimize images for the web.

•Mobile Application Development (Android & iOS). Knowledge of Ellucian Mobile a plus.



  1. Assistant Professor, Nursing (ASN) –

An instructional faculty member will be responsible for maintaining the highest academic and clinical standards. The individual is expected to exercise professionalism in the classroom and healthcare environment. This includes civility in all activities related to the role of academician and various assigned responsibilities that involve the students, peers, colleagues and community.

The ASN Program is located on three campuses – Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch and Venice. The Faculty are assigned to campuses based on the needs and number of the students enrolled and moving forward to the next level/semester. The assigned campus locations could vary from one calendar year to the next or from one semester to the next.

The program is looking for individuals with a strong background in complex Medical/Surgical client care issues. Ideally this candidate would have a minimum of one year in a clinical setting within the past five years. This position includes classroom teaching and an assignment of a clinical group that is made up of 10 – 12 students. Clinical assignments may vary from semester to semester. The students attend clinical for a one 10 or 13 hour day per week.

Currently we have two open ASN Faculty positions available to begin March 1, 2015.


Minimum Qualifications

•Master’s Degree in Science in Nursing. Doctorate strongly preferred

•Current Florida RN License


Preferred Qualifications –

•Recent classroom experience in a school or college of Nursing.

•Has taught or is familiar with a Concept Based Curriculum using a Simple to Complex approach.

•Strong background in complex Medical/Surgical client care issues.

•Minimal experience with Simulation in overseeing / facilitating small groups of students through predetermined scenarios.

•Strong written and oral communication skills.

•Computer skills should include Word, Excel, Power Point, Learning Management Systems such as Canvas, Electronic Health Records including E-MAR and Computerized Testing.




  1. Library Supervisor, Collection Development & Technical Services


SCF seeks employees looking to be a part of a culture of service excellence in the following position of Library Supervisor, Collection Development & Technical Services. This position provides instruction, reference, and subject liaison services both in person and online. Responsible for the coordination and management of the library’s physical and digital collections and for the review and implementation of collection management policies. Supervises technical services, ILS integration of the collections, resource sharing and archival functions.


Minimum Qualifications –

•Education/Experience: 
Master’s degree in Library Science or equivalent, with at least three year experience working in an academic library.

•Supervisory Experience: 
Requires a minimum of 2 years of supervisor experience. Preferred experience supervising library professionals.





  1. Librarian P/T

This position will have responsibility for the design, delivery, and assessment of reference and instruction for on-campus and off-campus students, faculty, staff and community library users on a fluctuating schedule. The librarian provides support for campus library management including collection development, outreach, faculty support, programming, and planning.


Minimum Qualifications –


•Education/Experience: 
Master’s degree in Library Science or equivalent, and two years of related library experience.

•Supervisory Experience: 
This position oversees, but does not evaluate other employees.






  1. Senior Accountant / Financial Analyst

This position is responsible for managing the overall fiscal operations of the Foundation for State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota, Inc. including planning, organizing, coordinating and directing the financial and accounting activities of the Foundation.







Minimum Qualifications -


•Education/Experience: 
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance or a related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher education. Five (5) years’ experience in the accounting or auditing field required, preferably within a Development/Foundation/Fundraising organization or equivalent combination of education and experience.

•Supervisory Experience:
One or more years of experience as a “lead” employee, with responsibility for scheduling and assigning work, training new employees, and assisting others with problems.

•Certificates and Licenses:
Ability to be bonded through the Foundation’s insurance policy. A valid Florida driver’s license.


Preferred Qualifications-


•Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and Certified Nonprofit Accounting Professional (CNAP) are preferred but not required.



  1. Simulation Center Technical Specialist

SCF seeks an employee looking to be a part of a culture of service excellence in the following position of Simulation Center Technical Specialist. The technical specialist is responsible for day to day operations of the center under the direction of the Simulation Center Manager. This includes: programming of new scenarios, equipment and supplies procurement, daily scheduling of users, operations of the simulations and all support equipment, coordinating multiple activities supporting simulation events, set up and preparation of support equipment, troubleshooting and detailed requirements for each event, and maintenance of all equipment at the Lakewood Ranch Simulation Center and the Simulation Labs on the Bradenton and Venice Campuses. The Simulation Center is used to enhance the curriculum in the ASN and BSN programs.


Minimum Qualifications –

•Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in health care discipline, information technology, or related field from a regionally accredited college or university and five (5) or more years of relevant experience. Experience in a Simulation Center working with nursing and/or medical students is preferred.

•Supervisory Experience:
One or more years of experience as a “lead” employee with responsibility for scheduling and collaborating with faculty members, facilitating teams, training employees, and assisting others with problems is required.


  1. SCF Collegiate School Substitute Teacher

This is a daily position to substitute in teacher classrooms for a specific duration.

Minimum Qualifications –

Education and/or experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education in the specific teaching discipline as outlined below.
